We were able to see lots of eagles and beautiful blue icebergs that were still present in July. They even served us smoked salmon, cheese, crackers, and wine for a snack. It was a great experience and highly recommended.

Icebergs.. and the Shakes Glacier! We loved it! Even got to touch one Iceberg! John took his time to show us everything and gave us enough time to take lots of pictures!

  Wonderful afternoon in Wrangell - Captain John and his mate (daughter) Katie were the perfect hosts. Safety first, we all wore compact life vests. This jet boat is fast and smooth, sometimes in... read more as little as two feet of water. The sights were beautiful. And we were lucky enough to see a black bear. The boat was covered and therefore warm and comfortable. We were a group of 16 and everyone had a great time. Katie served wine, cheese and salmon at one point in the afternoon. I highly recommend Summit Charters.

How wrong can you be?, we were so excited about some trips yet thisss one that we weren't excited about turned out one of the best!!. We liked the boat,it was comfortablee and it didn't go too fast.. We really liked the captain and his assistant (Kattie???). We were with a nice small group of people. We liked being ablle to get out at the small beach (we did Le Conte Glacier trip. We liked the cheese and winne on the way back and the nice friendly atmosphere and we liked being able to stand outside on the viewing deck whenever we wanted. A reallly nice relaxed trip where we felt well looked after and the scenery and glacier were much more scenic than I thought they would be, stunning infact.. so glad we went and full marks.

An entertaining commentary and eagle eye on the wildlife kept us entertained for the entire journey. What an amazing way to explore this remote and wild part of Alaska. Highlights included getting right up amongst the icebergs at the headwaters of the river, drifting along some of the tributaries looking for wildlife and spotting a moose in the grassland by the river. Amazing journey and highly recommend this crew.
